My passion for interior design ignited at a young age when my aunt invited me into her design studio, allowing me to immerse myself in the world of swatches. This early exposure fueled my love for creating mood boards, transforming my bedroom with refreshed wall colors whenever my parents permitted.

My artistic journey continued through school, and I pursued further studies in Liverpool during its vibrant tenure as the City of Culture. I immersed in the incredible art scene, indulging in life drawing, ceramics, and uninhibited painting in my uni studio.

Embarking on my professional interior design career, I found myself at IKEA, where I reveled in the joy of designing room-sets, from wiring lights to installing flooring. Embracing the role of a DIY Queen, I relished the satisfaction of completing pristine room-sets, only to see them swiftly adorned with price tags before the store opening.

Eager to work directly with clients, I transitioned to JAIA Architects as their sole interior designer. Three years at IKEA of donning steel toe cap boots and a tool belt honed my skills, offering opportunities to contribute to high-end residential and commercial projects.

The pace quickened when I joined Lombok, seamlessly blending the retail dynamics of IKEA with the client-focused approach of JAIA. Spearheading the interior service, I undertook diverse residential projects in London, ranging from single-room transformations to entire housing schemes. Art direction became a valuable addition to my skill set, evolving from client home photoshoots to styling for Lombok's brochures and social media.

My venture into exhibition design began with Lombok, where I designed and implemented the business stage and stand at the Independent Hotel Show in 2017. Thriving in the chaos of fast-paced environments, I explored new design paths, contributing to the growth of the business.

Transitioning to Tarkett as Design Manager marked a significant chapter. Over six years, I managed a team of three designers and collaborated with the Marketing team to train a robust sales force. Engaging in diverse projects, from inclusive designs to those for people living with dementia, I grew both as a designer and manager. Notable experiences include collaborations, article contributions, and projects spanning hospitals, offices, hotels, and exhibitions.

Among these, the Ally Pally project holds a special place. Collaborating with Akzo Nobel (Dulux), we created the UK's first public dementia-friendly space, resonating deeply with me due to my mother's battle with young-onset dementia. Improving spaces for those with dementia has been a heartwarming and personally significant aspect of my career.
